Please consider hauling your Christmas Tree, minus tinsel and ornaments, down to the coast. Recycled Christmas Trees have been used on the Surfside beaches near Treasure Island for years to help stablize the dune line and lessen erosion from storm surges. Please watch your local paper or the Galveston Daily News, or Surfrider Foundation for news on places to take your tree for use at the coast.
