I’ve always loved Stephen King…a few of his works confounded and confused me, like The Gunslinger series…but from Carrie onward, I have loved Stephen King. Carrie was released a year after I graduated from high school and I have been a loyal reader ever since then.
“Just After Sunset” has sat beside my monitor for months. Don’t even recall where I bought it. I picked it up the other day and was delighted to find a collection of short stories. Gotta love a good short story…for one thing, they’re SHORT.
There are times you just need a bit of a break, and a short story is the way I go when I can. It can take the place of a cigarette (my only real “life regret”), give you a moment to yourself, and enlighten you to new things and ideas in a concise manner. Being able to put it down and pick it back up without having to remember where you were in the story is a wonderful thing!
