Practice Run

Here’s the carry on bag, MEI’s Voyageur, packed:

And here’s what was in it, and now hanging neatly back in my closet:

And here’s what all of that is:

3 pair long pants (black, brown, dark blue)
2 pair walking shorts (black, dark blue)
4 jackets with matching shell tops (black, brown, dark blue, medium blue)
Paisley shell for dressy dinner (wear with brown pants and jacket OR with black pants and jacket)
Bronze twin set for other dressy dinner (wear with brown pants)
4 smart casual tops in various sleeve lengths (each top will go with any color pants/shorts)
5 pair socks and underoos, two bras
Pajamas
Fold up slippers
Bronze fitflop sandals
Costume jewelry and belts
Laundry kit (Woolite packages, clothesline, sewing kit)
Liquid toiletries in quart ziplock
Non liquid toiletries in separate kit
Fold up tote bag for souveniers

*I could pare this down more by taking out the bronze twin set and wearing the paisley shell with one of the other jacket/pants sets since the dressy dinners are at different venues.

Trying Out the iPad!

I’ve read on several techie type blogs that blogging from the iPad wasn’t the easiest. Now I’m checking it out for myself.

Let’s try adding a photo from the iPad:

Nope, unless I’m doing something wrong. I can upload from a URL, or from the existing media file already on this site, but can’t figure out how to get a photo out of the photos already on my iPad.

Back to the drawing board…

Oh Hell Yeah!

Go to Apps Store, download the WordPress App, instead of using WordPress online editor. Works like a charm!!

With the Camera Connection Kit to load my photos from my camera to my iPad, and the WordPress App, I will be able to blog the trip and post photos as we move from Dublin to Killarney, to Adare, to Ashford Castle, and back to Dublin. We’ll be taking several daytrips from these places to The Burren, Cliffs of Mohr, Ballybunnion, Leap Castle, and more!! And then we’re off to LONDON!

It’s STILL ON!

I started gathering outfits this afternoon for the Ireland/London trip.

So far I have:

  • Dark brown three quarter sleeved jacket, shell, and pants (with turquoise necklace and belt)
  • Dark brown top with embellishment and dark brown lace cami (goes with dark brown pants)
  • Dark brown 3/4 ruched sleeve top (goes with dark brown pants, with orange necklace and bracelet)
  • Midnight blue long walking shorts (goes with medium blue jacket and shell, Midnight blue jacket, purple 3/4 sleeved top, and with printed chiffon tunic)
  • Medium blue short sleeved jacket and shell
  • Printed chiffon three quarter sleeved tunic (with dark brown lace cami under, and goes with blue walking shorts, or dark brown pants)
  • Brown tones paisley jacket and shell (goes with dark brown pants, or shell with dark brown jacket and dark brown pants)
  • Printed long skirt (goes with dark brown 3/4 sleeved top, or with medium blue shell and jacket, or with dark brown lace cami and dark brown jacket)
  • Black pants (go with chiffon tunic, purple 3/4 sleeve top, paisley shell, blue tops)
  • Bronze twin set (goes with black pants, dark brown pants)
  • French Terry lounging pants and 3/4 sleeved top for evenings before bedtime hanging around hotel rooms
  • Pajamas (2 pair)
  • Bronze sandals, black sneakers, and maybe purple dress sandals if they go with enough outfits
  • Underoos and sundries
  • Now I’m going to break this list of outfits down into pants, tops, dressy, casual, and miscellaneous.

…and it’s all gonna fit into THIS:

  • …which is 22″ by 14″ by 9″ and weighs 3.52 pounds when empty. It converts into a backpack with padded straps and waist belt. It is an MEI Voyageur, available online.
